Far away the sound of chattering voices
All deciding what they would like for tea.
Some would like fish fingers and chips.
Some want bangers and mash for tea
What Charley bear would really like
Is cold mash potatoes , cheddar cheese
And salad cream.
Followed by jam and cheese sandwiches.
Come on you kids out there give Mum or Dad
A long hard stare and ask politely what you
Would like for tea. No matter how bizarre it
May seem . If it makes you happy then yell
Out with glee if Charley Bear can have what
He wants then why can't we ?
