CharleyBear is an alias for my real name of Charles Richard Sharp, I was Born in a small market town called Boston, where the stump, a Church

Where I was Confirmed, Whilst attending the Grammar School I climbed the stump to the very top above the Lantern tower, which lit the way

for people finding there way in the surrounding fens if they got lost.

It is also where the Pilgrim Fathers sailed to found America , they however were detained in the cramped Guildhall cells were tried of insurection, but were eventually released after being found not guilty, My Father Alfred Eric Sharp was a proprieter of a small coach company, which used to be in pipe office lane , the inspection pit was later filled in and became the site on the now Lincoln Lane toilets. My father was very upset when grandad sharp died in 1968 and burst it to tears went up stairs crying, We were struggling to make ends meet as the work was seasonal but gradually improved.

Would love to hear your thoughts if you can help me with any further information I would welcome it for my memoirs.

As for most families there were happy and sad times. We have 2 chidren both Boys born by Ceaseraen Section.

We started life off together, me and my wife, joy, in boston, its how we met at the local pub. We tried the country life style, by moving from boston to a bungalow in weston hills, which is still there to this day. We decided, we missed the hustle and bustle of town life, so when the boys were very young we moved from weston hill into Spalding and have been there ever since and really enjoy the small town life style. Like any town there are good and bad places, same can be said for where ever you go.

For over 20 years I was a BT engineer working from Boston, Spalding and Grantham and retired on medical grounds several years back.

When not in the kitchen cooking food, i enjoy spot of art, model making, walking, gardening and reading. I have read several books over the years, my last read was a book by the TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson, would highly recommend it.

I often find gardening relaxing and good for the mind, and find, my green house a local place of prayer. It's like life, i am still learning as i go, i have grown flowers, plants and even our own home grown veg, which my wife, joy, my two boys and neighbours have really enjoyed. I love the whole process of growing from seed to the finished product and eating veg, which isnt super processed but has been grown in your own garden. I would highly recommend getting into gardening.

Another hobbie that i have been getting into is indoor bowls at my local sports centre, the castle sports centre in spalding. Bowling is quite a slow paced sport and very relaxing, and for a hobbie, is relatively cheap.

I also enjoy short trips out with my family, for teas & coffees around the local area.

I also enjoy a spot of baking, which my family seem to enjoy, and there is nothing like your own baking.

Hope you enjoy my website, plenty of Photos and Articles to look at. Thank you for visiting.
